Velvet Heart Records is a queer-owned independent record label built around honest music, individuality and the belief that artists should be able to create without compromising who they are.

We're here for the songs that mean something. We're here for the quiet ones, the messy ones, and the ones that stay with you long after you hear them for the first time. As an independent label, we want to build a space where artists and listeners can feel connected, represented and free to be themselves.

Velvet Heart is still growing, but our purpose is simple: to support meaningful music and the people who make and love it.

Velvet Heart Records is queer-owned, independent and proud.

We believe music should be a space where people feel safe to exist as themselves. We proudly support LGBTQ+ people and will always stand against homophobia, transphobia and discrimination in all its forms.

We believe in a Free Palestine and in the dignity, freedom and safety of Palestinian people.

We have zero tolerance for racism, sexism, xenophobia, discrimination or hate of any kind directed towards our team, our artists or our listeners.

Velvet Heart Records is founded on respect, empathy and community. We welcome people from every background, but hatred is not welcome here.

We believe in people over power.

We believe in protecting marginalised communities.

We believe that silence is a choice, and we choose not to be silent.
